WARNING! Don't just rely on Google, MapQuest or Bing maps to find us on Lake One! Their directions are not quite accurate. It's safer to use the following directions, which accurately describe the route to take from downtown Ely to Kawishiwi Lodge on Lake One.

We are located at entry point 30 of the BWCAW - Superior National Forest - just 19.5 miles east of Ely on Fernberg Road. It's best to print out a map of these directions - available here!

1. Set your odometer to 0. Head east on E Sheridan St (Rte 169) toward S 17th Ave (Rte 1).
2. Continue on Route 169, which becomes Fernberg Rd (aka Fernberg Trail) at 4.5 miles.
3. At 19.5 miles from your starting point, you will see a sign on your left: “Kawishiwi Lodge & Outfitters”.
4. Turn left down the driveway to the lodge. Stay to your right, past the parking lot on your left. The lodge will be on your right.
